Part 1 lays the groundwork for these rustic, three-dimensional shadow boxes in which a little bird huddles within the protective framework of broken boards. Here, participants will shape and refine their birds and stain their “barns” for use in the final assemblage.
The second session will see participants painting the birds they fashioned, adhering them to the “barn,” and adding the ramshackle “boards” to create the framework in which the bird takes shelter.
