I LOVE NY started the “New York Fall Foliage Report” on September 14 and continue until the end of the foliage season, around the first or second week in November. Fulton County has its own “foliage spotters” to participate in this annual report.
Reporting station: Betty’s River Road Bed & Breakfast and the Adirondack Country Store both in Northville
Percent of trees predicted to have changed by the coming weekend: 40%
Brilliance: Dull to Average
Predominating colors: Greenish-Yellow, Rusty Brown with touches of Orange and Red
Rating: Beginning to Midpoint
More color has appeared throughout the county but there is still a lot of green. Higher elevations, such as East Caroga Lake, have had significant change over the last week. Why not plan an overnight stay for the Columbus Day weekend or the following weekend? There are many harvest events still happening!
